Why it matters
If someone has to squint, the interface is asking too much before the content even starts.
How it works
FixWeb loads axe-core once per crawl and runs its colour-contrast rule on the homepage and distinct templates, with a six-second page budget and a 40-violation cap. Nodes whose background cannot be resolved remain incomplete rather than receiving an invented ratio.
Site impact
Low contrast makes copy, labels, and controls harder to read, especially in bright light or for people with low vision. The result covers the rendered states and pages that the crawl could assess.
How to improve
Choose text and background pairs that meet the applicable WCAG ratio, then recheck hover, focus, disabled, gradient, image, and dark-theme states. Treat unresolved dynamic backgrounds as a follow-up, not as a pass.
