- FIXEDCookie checks see every cookie again. On many check-ups my browser shut down before I read the cookies the site had set, so the cookie and consent reviews had nothing to look at. I now read them before that can happen.
- FIXEDLinked files are no longer scored as pages. When a site linked to its sitemap, a PDF, a feed or an image, I opened it like a page and reported it for having no title, no heading and no phone layout. I now skip files and check only real pages.
- FIXEDSites typed with http:// are read correctly. When a site moved visitors to https, I missed its llms.txt and reported it as not using HTTPS. I now follow the site's own move to https and www.
- IMPROVEDStructured-data advice follows Google's current rules. I no longer ask for fields Google has retired (HowTo images, the sitelinks search box), product fields on a free tool's price, or Product schema on a site that sells nothing. A page's author tag now counts as naming its author.
- FIXEDHomepage counts measure the right things. I count your menu from the header and navigation only, not every link on the page; tabs, currency pickers and menu toggles no longer count as competing calls to action; I only ask for review markup when you show reviews; and pages that answer questions count as answering questions even when their address doesn't say so.
- IMPROVEDPhone legibility and page weight are measured properly. One small label no longer marks a page as hard to read on phones: I now look at how much of the text is under 12 px, as Google's Lighthouse does. The page's own HTML now counts toward what it downloads.
- FIXEDAI answers keep what they found, and more analytics tools are recognised. When the AI cited your pages as links, I threw its answers away and said your offer, prices and contact were not stated on the site. I now read those citations. I also recognise Cloudflare Web Analytics, Umami, Simple Analytics, GoatCounter, Heap, Amplitude and Adobe Analytics.

- FIXEDHeadings that fade in are read properly. On sites that animate sections in as you scroll, I used to read the headings and text below the first screen as empty, and could call them empty or unclear. I now read their words whether or not they have faded in yet.
- FIXEDFull-page pictures show the whole page. When sections fade in as you scroll, my full-page picture used to stop at the first screen and leave the rest blank. I now scroll through the page before I take it, so the design and accessibility reviews see every section.

- IMPROVEDArea-average scoring improved. The score is the average of the areas that were measured, rounded down.
- FIXEDPhone checks survive a slow screenshot. A screenshot timeout no longer stops phone measurements that were already captured, so reports can still show page geometry.
- FIXEDCleaner problem lists. I now show duplicate scan signals once, and templated pages, sign-in pages, and legal question headings no longer make me cry wolf.

- IMPROVEDMore grounded SEO and content reviews. Reviews now use representative page excerpts and verified quotes. Short tools and shared headings no longer trigger automatic thin-content or page-merging advice.
- FIXEDFewer scan false alarms. Redirected www and bare-domain pages, spaced tap targets, optimized images, consent-gated analytics, and template text are no longer mistaken for problems.
- NEWTiered evidence, reused across scans. Every URL scan now combines local link-graph, template, and freshness evidence with mobile PSI and CrUX. Verified owners can add a daily Search Console snapshot; paid check-ups add desktop and representative-template PSI plus site-declared competitor snapshots. Cached provider results reduce repeat delay and API use, and competitor evidence never runs a SERP search.
- FIXEDAccurate web-font counts. Scans reported that pages loaded no font files even when they loaded several. FixWeb now counts every font file a page downloads, so a heavy font set is flagged instead of passed.

- SECURITYStricter ownership checks. Owner-depth scans now need a DNS TXT record or a verification file at the exact address you added. An email address on the domain no longer counts as proof.

- NEWPhone checks. Scans now open representative pages at a 375 px phone size and flag sideways scrolling and tap targets that are too small.
- NEWExact contrast. Scans now measure the text and background colours on the page and list the exact colour pairs that are hard to read.
- NEWRedirect chains and loops. Scans now follow each page's redirects and flag pages that take two or more redirects or loop back on themselves. Pages that only time out are reported as not checked, not as a redirect problem.
- NEWTitle cut-off estimate. FixWeb now measures each page title at the size Google uses in desktop results and flags titles likely to be shortened. It is an estimate: Google publishes no length limit and may rewrite titles.
- FIXEDFewer false alarms. A page reached through a redirect is counted once, not as its own duplicate. Tracking pixels the browser blocks on purpose no longer count as failed loads. Fields and buttons hidden from every visitor are no longer reported as unlabeled, and a button named by its icon's label counts as named.
- IMPROVEDrobots.txt read the way search engines read it. The most specific matching rule wins, so a section you allow under a blocked root is no longer reported as a site-wide block, and account and order pages you block on purpose are treated as deliberate.
