Why it matters
A page can be technically complete yet visually say nothing. FixWeb asks whether the imagery carries a recognizable point of view and whether the browser receives the right assets for the page, social sharing, and mobile contexts.
How it works
Deterministic probes inspect homepage hero presence, declared dimensions, modern formats, responsive loading, Open Graph imagery, favicon and manifest references, viewport configuration, failed media, and format consistency. Favicon-size coverage, Apple touch-icon completeness, and per-image payload budgets are not assessable from this crawl. A model reviews rendered screenshots for composition, palette cohesion, emotional through-line, brand role, and whether the creative feels distinctive rather than generic stock.
Site impact
Unowned or inconsistent imagery weakens recognition and makes a brand interchangeable. Missing dimensions can cause layout shift, failed media breaks the intended story, and absent social or platform variants make shared links and saved sites look accidental. Visual judgment is based on the rendered evidence supplied to the evaluator, not on an unseen brand brief.
How to improve
Give the page a clear, brand-owned hero treatment with an intentional premise. Standardize aspect ratios and a practical format family, declare width and height or an aspect ratio, deliver responsive images, and keep heavy originals out of the critical path. Add a deliberate Open Graph image plus favicon and touch-icon coverage, and repair every failed media request before launch.
